Well I looked on myself as a stranger and thought, ‘’How could I have known you so long?’’
And I passed through the pain and the danger slow..and the hurt that consumed me was gone.
All the folks that I knew didn’t know me at all..and I heard someone say, ‘’Sure he’s gone’’
And I moved through the air like a raven or crow.. and I stopped when I came to my home.

And I passed over hills, towns and valleys...
In a stretch I could cover the sky.
With the rivers and valleys below me
And I longed for my wife and my child.

And I saw they were cold there beside me...and the heat from the fire, it gave no warmth

ContraWave began as a solo project of Paul Mahoney.
